i know a thing as big as this calls for some arguments. i know what you mean about constructing those pipes. but youve forgotten the syabas, shah. I dont think some ppl fancy washing it with sea-water. But about the cost, i dont think we need to worry too much since we can always salvage some from the now cancelled jambatan bengkok. after all weve spent nearly a billion ringgit, and therefore there should be enough number of unused pipes to encircle the island of Singapore even.
but i definitely agree with the writing youve suggested. we can forward a suggestion to the committee that in the event where they proceed with the idea of the latrine toilet, a permanent inscription of such nature would be written on one of the walls of the toilet. :)

although the south ledge is not suitable for a latrine toilet due to the fact that it is merely a cluster of small rocks which nearly permanently submerged saved for the topmost part, nevertheless, i would agree with you on turning that tiny maritime feature into a toilet. we dont have to build any housing for the toilet there. it would be an opened-air, opened-everthing.
It is good for our foreign exchange as per your suggestion.
This is indeed a diversifation of national economy at its best - not just modal insan but modal batu comes into play as well.
About the Filipinos in Sabah. That might just be possible. When Marcos was the President, he dropped the claim on Sabah in an ASEAN Summit. Now that he has gone and the filipinos dont really like him, they just might want to go for the state via a different strategy. But i tell you what, we will look into this matter seriously when they own everything there and what left to us is just the ketuanan. I know we are good at that.
And if they were to take everything on the ground of history, as you said, remember we still have the Middle Rocks and possibly the South Ledge. That shall be the right time to dismantle the toilet(s).

Latrine toilets? Hmm...naw, don't think it will work. Simply because Indah Water will increase their charges to pay for the pipe-building works from the mainland. Instead, let's build a monumnet; no statues or figurines, just a square stone with the simple writing as below:
"This is to remind the human race of the stupidity, bumbling, arrogant, self-centered, fools on the small hill of Putrajaya, and all those who support them - namely the Sarkas - of how not to rule or manage a country, when they cannot even manage themselves properly. how right can you be. some people were just not born to like reading. Some just dont get it. we all knew that now.
actually i dont think having the batu putih really that matters. No one would feel like batu belah batu bertangkup. after all we have all kinds of batu in our country. batu gajah, batu kawan and even batu akik, if you fancy making a ring out of it. It is always the water. Unfortunately, we didnt think much of this until we bought those submarines. You certainly need a much bigger space for those things to move around.

i was having lunch with your abah angkat from janda baik today and i mentioned your name to him and he remembers you well.
About the latrine toilets, i saw some during my trip to terengganu prior to pru-12. What can i say, after 50 years of merdeka, we still have this sort of structure for that vital purpose. That triggered my brain with the RM3 billion question on the state oil royalties.

It think it is a good idea to build latrines on the Middle Rocks and Southern Ledges.It cam be a source of income for Malaysia.And don't forget we are actually creating several jobs there. Pencuci tandas cum toilet fee collector just like in the malls.

The Singaporeans on Pedra Blanca too can use the latrine.heck they might like it since their currency is bigger they are paying less to shit in our waters!

I can see Phillipines eyeing sabah more keenly(and they have exported 1 million Filipinos there in Sabah,right?),Brunei will want Limbang back and Thailand might go to ICJ for Perlis,Kedah and Kelantan making their rice bowl bigger.

And at the same time Indonesia can claim on Johor(bugis and Javanesse there),Selangor,negri Sembilan(tanah Minang) and Perak(Mandailing and Banjar).

So what is left to us?

Someone should forward this article to the Prime Minister! I would, if he has a blog. But then again, whether he reads or not is another matter... hahaha!

A good reminder to us all where history is concerned. Singapore might get an island the size of a football field, but definitely their waters are bigger now. And once its theirs, no one else has a right to do anything there, not even crossing it without permission, including Malaysia. That's what we have overlooked and that's why its been taken lightly on.
